Accessibility Prioritized with Ongoing Updates
Published 5/2/24
We understand the importance of accessibility for all our customers. That’s why we’re committed to continuously improving the usability of our platform for everyone, regardless of ability.
What’s New?
We’re excited to announce that we’re taking our accessibility efforts to the next level. We’re currently updating our Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT). Our original VPAT, evaluated by an independent third-party provider Level Access in 2019, is being revised to reflect the latest advancements in our platform so we continue to develop for Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards.
Why is a VPAT Important?
A VPAT is a document that outlines how a product adheres to the WCAG, a set of internationally recognized standards for making web content accessible to people with disabilities. By maintaining an updated VPAT, we demonstrate our ongoing commitment to WCAG compliance.
Why Does WCAG Matter for Billers?
As a biller, ensuring accessibility is not just a best practice; it’s a responsibility. WCAG compliance helps us create a platform that can be easily used by everyone, including:
- Customers with visual impairments who rely on screen readers
- Users with motor limitations who require keyboard navigation
- Individuals with cognitive disabilities who benefit from clear and concise language
By prioritizing accessibility, InvoiceCloud helps billers empower their customers and comply with regulations through a commitment to accessibility, inclusivity and social responsibility.
Looking Ahead: Twice-Yearly Evaluations
Moving forward, InvoiceCloud will be conducting VPAT evaluations with our partner Level Access twice a year. This allows us to continuously monitor our platform’s accessibility and identify areas for improvement. Our goal is to not only meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards but also exceed them as we develop and evolve the InvoiceCloud platform.
Together, we can create a more inclusive billing experience for everyone. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to keeping you updated on our accessibility journey.
