Industry Event Recaps to Keep You in the Loop

We know how busy schedules can get and in the event you missed GFOA or IASA events, we are pleased to share highlights from these events.

For folks at local government, tax, or utility organizationsthe Government Finance Officer’s Association (GFOA) held their 2021 virtual conference in late July. With over 20,000 federal, state/provincial, and local finance officials as its members, GFOA is on a mission to advance excellence in public finance.

Their annual conference offered great insights into what the top finance officers around the country are focusing on for the second half of 2021 and into 2022.

In our recap blog, we’ve highlighted a few critical sessions on topics from cybersecurity to software as a service (SaaS) technologies, which you can read all about right here.

For insurance professionals – no matter your line or specialty – the Insurance Accounting & Systems Association (IASA) is a non-profit exclusively dedicated to serving professionals in the insurance industry. For nearly 100 years, they have been a source of trusted knowledge that drives innovation through the practice and alliance of insurance professionals.

Recently, IASA held its 2021 conference — IASA Xchange — in New Orleans, with a virtual option for many of the sessions. Our insurance expert, Angela Abbott, presented a couple very popular sessions. In one, she shares InvoiceCloud research that details how to attract and retain more Millennial policyholders, and the other is a presentation we created with our friends at Novarica on how technology is permanently disrupting the insurance space. You can read about both sessions and get additional resources right here.

Happy learning!
