Offset Increasing USPS Postage Rates
Published 7/10/24
This month, the USPS is scheduled to increase postage rates for the second time this year. To avoid increasing your mailing budget because of these postage hikes, we recommend finding ways to boost your paperless enrollment. Here’s a summary of our favorite ways to increase paperless billing and save your budget from higher postage rates:
- Auto-check the paperless checkbox during checkout: The “Enroll in paperless” checkbox is automatically checked during checkout, so your customers don’t have to take any action.
- Convert AutoPay payers or registered payers to paperless billing: Automatically converting these two groups of payers to paperless billing is the easiest and quickest ways to give your paperless enrollment a quick boost.
- Promote paperless billing: A tried-and-true way to increase your paperless billing enrollment is to simply ask your payers to switch to paperless billing. Use bill inserts, posters, and more from the Marketing Resource Center to make it easy.
- Go 100% paperless: With increases in postage prices, now is the time to eliminate mailed bills entirely. Ask your CSM or email us at customermarketing@invoicecloud.com if you’d like more information on going 100% paperless.
And don’t forget to remind your customers that paying online is actually more secure than mailing a payment. With postal mail theft, check washing and other scams making headlines, making a secure online payment (or an automated payment by phone) is a safer option.
