Moving into the New Normal

By Bob Lapides, President

As we move into the second half of 2020, a year that has been consumed by the COVID-19 pandemic and economic uncertainties, a few things have become abundantly clear. One realization that is top of mind for many folks is the understanding that we’re going to feel the effects of this virus for a very long time.

Our collective sense of stability has been shaken, on a global scale. We’re all adjusting to a new, temporary reality and bracing for potential aftershocks. Here at Invoice Cloud, we’ve been focused on how we can support our clients, partners, and employees – both through this health emergency and on the other side of this pandemic.

Community is critical at Invoice Cloud, which is why we’ve focused our efforts on continuously innovating to make our already leading solution even better. Whether it’s adding payment options like Apple Pay and Google Pay or helping clients in their community fundraising efforts, we’re dedicated to identifying our clients’ evolving needs and providing all the long-term support required.

For our clients and partners, we’re staying connected with remote user group meetings, virtual trade shows, webinars and Zoom sessions. To help spread the word about contactless payments, we’ve been offering reminders to “pay online” printed on envelopes, messages on the bill or invoice, bill inserts, messages on the web site, press releases to keep payers informed, and offering our pay-by-phone capability to provide incremental, remote payment options.

From an employee front, Invoice Cloud hasn’t missed a beat since the company started working from home in the middle of March. In fact, we’ve increased our employee base by over 10% since the start of the year and plan to add even more teammates throughout the second half of 2020, all to support our clients and partners.

For us, these are intuitive next steps. Adaptability, payment and paperless adoption, providing a top-of-class payer experience, and creating value for our clients have always been central to our organizational DNA. Invoice Cloud was built around a commitment to providing solutions that make our clients’ lives – and their payer’s lives – easier. And, no matter the global climate, we will see that mission through.
